Student Led Activities Fund Application 2023-24

Complete this form to apply for the Student Led Activity Fund. The LISS DTP invites applications from PhD students at any of our three partner institutions to apply for Student Led Activity Funding (SLAF). The Student Led Activity Fund is designed for interdisciplinary working and is intended to enable students trained in a particular discipline to engage with and understand different disciplinary approaches.

Example activities include one-off events like a workshop or conference, or recurring events such as reading groups, seminar series, etc. We encourage innovative and imaginative proposals. 

We will consider applications for up to £3000. 

Eligibility:

To qualify for funding, your event must:

1. involve at least 1 LISS DTP funded student as an organiser,
2. be student centred (primarily organised by and/or for students),
3. be accessible to students from all 3 institutions,
4. be open to all LISS DTP affiliated students (although priority may be given to LISS DTP funded students if enrolment needs to be capped for resource reasons),
5. have at least 1 activity within 3 months of the closing date of the call,
6. have a LISS DTP pathway lead as the academic 'sponsor' who agrees to manage the funding (sponsor should be based at the institution where most funds will be spent).

SLAF Applications will be reviewed 4 times a year on the first working Monday of January, March, June and October each year. Decisions will take up to 2 weeks to announce and will be confirmed by liss-dtp@kcl.ac.uk. In the case of a Bank Holiday or university closure day, applications will be processed the next working day. Please allow up to 30 working days for Instructional Finance teams to process the transfer request.
